We loved to work with Tiny Tickers, a small charity with big ambitions. Their mission is to help improve the detection, care and treatment of babies with serious heart conditions by training Sonographers across the UK. How could we resist?
Making an impact
The awareness work reached tens of thousands of people through printed materials, social media campaigns, newspaper and radio coverage and directly at events like baby shows. As a result, mums-to-be are more informed about their pregnancy scans; health professionals and new parents know the signs of undetected heart conditions; and the general public is more aware of just how common and serious heart defects can be.
Founded in 1999 by world-renowned fetal cardiologist Dr Helena Gardiner, when she realised many of the babies she was caring for could have been helped earlier, Tiny Tickers has trained over 75% of the UK’s sonography units.
Peek worked with Tiny Tickers to refresh the brand colours, design and build a new website and develop marketing communication materials.
The new look
Adding a fresh, bold colour to the brand gave it a huge visual boost, this coupled with a modern look and feel across the website pushed the charity to the top of mind.
All round support
The new website not only contains information about the charity and its work, but also provides a great resource for supporting material for parents who are dealing with a diagnosis of CHD in their baby.
The site also boasts an area strictly for sonographers and professionals providing them with the tools and resources to help with detection of heart defects including images and videos. This area is also kept up-to-date with the latest on existing standards and practice with CHD detection and care.

BBC One Lifeline appeal. Tiny Tickers is the only national charity that works to improve the early detection, diagnosis and care of babies with heart conditions.

Every two hours a baby is born in the UK with a serious heart condition – it’s the most common and most deadly congenital anomaly. Tiny Tickers’ ambition is that no baby should ever die with an undetected heart defect.
Tiny Tickers raises awareness with medical professionals and the public to provide a safety net for newborn babies who are sent home with an undetected heart condition – which is approximately 1,000 babies a year.
Their THINK HEART campaign increases public awareness of Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) and how to spot the signs of heart failure in babies, to ensure that a baby gets treatment as soon as they become symptomatic.
